About Homer Taylor

Homer Slate Taylor was an American archer. He competed in the men's double York round, men's double American round, and the men's team round at the 1904 Summer Olympics.
Homer Taylor was born in Leyden, Massachusetts but moved to Greenfield, Massachusetts as a young boy. He later worked as a bank teller in Greenfield, although he moved to Chicago and worked for the First National Bank of Chicago. He later worked for Franklin MacVeagh & Co., a wholesale food organization in Chicago, although he then returned to Greenfield. Taylor was one of the co-founders of the Eastern Archery Association, and he served as President of both that organization and the National Archery Association.
